Organizations partner with Pixel Leadership Group (i.e., “Pixel”) as a third-party surveyor in order to ensure the safety, security, and confidentiality of survey respondents. Pixel Leadership Group administers the surveys, collects and houses the data, analyzes the results, and aggregates the information. We have expertise in managing surveys, handling data, and conducting data analysis to extract salient results while maintaining the confidentiality of the participants.
How does Pixel Leadership Group ensure participant confidentiality?
Pixel Leadership Group’s top priority is the safety and security of the survey for its participants. No names, email addresses, or other personally identifying information will be tied to individual responses or results shared with the organization for which we are conducting the survey.
Only grouped results (e.g., sharing the results of groups such as males vs. all females) from the data will be shared with our partner organization, and no leader, group, or employee of that organization will have access to the raw data.
Data will be combined into groups for analysis and results will be presented at a group level. Results will not be presented to the partner organization in a way that will allow the use of multiple demographic categories to identify any one individual. To protect the identity of the respondents, if there are fewer than five (5) responses within a specific demographic category the results will not be shared. So, for example, if only 3 people indicated on the survey that they are Atheist/Agnostic, then no results would be provided for the “Atheist/Agnostic” group. When appropriate, the responses from individuals in groups that don't surpass the threshold of 5 responses would be grouped into another umbrella group (such as with a “Practice No Organized Religion” group) or would be excluded all together when necessary to protect confidentiality.

Why do you need to collect demographic and employment data on the survey?
The demographic information about the respondents enables Pixel Leadership Group to analyze and detect any meaningful patterns in responses. All data will be aggregated to ensure that individuals cannot be identified before being shared with our partner organizations. No individual's responses will be shared. For more on the specific steps being taken to protect confidentiality, see the previous question.
Is Pixel Leadership Group’s survey platform secure?
Pixel Leadership Group’s survey platform uses HTTPS security using SSL/TLS which generates short-term session keys to encrypt the data flow between client and server, blocking man-in-the-middle and eavesdropping attacks, which can let attackers gain access to sensitive information. Servers are kept in locked cages requiring biometric recognition for entry. There is surveillance equipment on server site and 24/7 staffing and monitoring, cameras, visitor logs, and entry requirements. Environmental controls such as firewall protection, redundant internal power supplies, and hourly data backup are in place.
