ADAM B. TROY, PHDCHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER
Adam is a social scientist and statistician specializing in survey and assessment methods as well as applied and predictive data analysis. Adam most recently served as senior research associate at a leading consumer research organization executing one of the largest surveys in the country. Prior to this, he led the applied research teams as Senior Director of Research for three education companies including GoalQuest, Inc., EducationDynamics, LLC, and ConnectEDU, Inc., working with over 300 secondary and postsecondary educational institutions to analyze, understand and predict student behavior.
All organizations produce and need to understand their data, both "Big" and small, and for over 15 years Adam has led the development and execution of projects to capture and interpret this data including: consumer research and marketing surveys, client and employee satisfaction assessments, purchase propensity scoring, market demand studies, evaluations of program effectiveness, predictive modeling and scoring algorithms, standardized assessment instruments, recommendation algorithms, psychographic and behavioral profiling, creation of index scores and benchmarks, and observational coding methods. He specializes in statistical programming and analysis in both SPSS and SAS. He also founded and is currently president of the Behavioral Research Group, LLC. a research consulting organization, as well as Hair Metrics, a scientifically-minded hair products company. Adam graduated with honors from Colgate University and holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in psychology from the University of Miami. He serves as a Trustee on the board of the Allied Educational Foundation, and holds certifications or certificates of training in Facial Action Coding System (FACS) methodology, Microexpression Recognition, Subtle Expression Recognition, and Dangerous Demeanor Detection. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two active little boys that keep him busy outside the office. |
