Vallourec Impact Survey FAQs


What is this survey?

This survey is part of Vallourec’s leadership development initiative. Its purpose is to understand how leadership practices affect team functioning and day-to-day work and to evaluate the effectiveness of the leadership development program. The information collected will be analyzed in aggregate (combined across respondents) to identify overall patterns and program impact. The results are not used to evaluate the job performance of the leader and are not provided to the leader. Results are reviewed only in combined form to understand overall program effectiveness.

All responses are confidential. Reports do not include respondent names and do not display individual responses.

Is this a performance evaluation?

No.
This survey is not a performance review and is not used for compensation, promotion, discipline, or employment decisions. The survey is not used to evaluate the job performance of the leader. Instead, it is used to evaluate the effectiveness of Vallourec’s leadership training program.
The results are used to:
  • improve leadership training
  • ​understand how leadership practices affect team effectiveness
Individual responses are not used to judge or penalize a leader.

​Are my responses confidential?

Yes.
Individual responses are not shared with the person being rated. Results are reported only in summarized (combined) form so individual respondents cannot be identified. Reports summarize responses across groups of participants rather than showing any individual person's answers.

Will my manager see what I personally said?

No.
Individual responses are confidential and are not shared with the person you are rating. The results are used only in combined form to evaluate the leadership development program and overall organizational patterns, not to provide feedback to the leader.

​Why was I selected?

You were selected because you work with this leader and have direct experience interacting with them. The goal is to gather feedback from people who regularly observe their day-to-day leadership practices. You do not need to report directly to the leader to provide useful feedback.

What if I don’t interact with them often?

Please answer only the questions you feel you have enough experience to rate. For any behavior you have not personally observed, select "Not Enough Information to Rate / N/A."
It is completely appropriate to use this option.

How should I answer the questions?

Base your ratings on what you have personally observed.
Please do not rate based on:
  • rumors
  • one isolated event
  • whether you personally like the person
  • ​how you think a manager should behave
Instead, think about your typical interactions over approximately the past six months.

What if I’ve had both good and bad experiences?

That's normal. Consider the leader's usual pattern of behavior rather than a single positive or negative incident.
Ask yourself: "What typically happens when I work with this person?"

How long does the survey take?

The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete.

When is the deadline?

Please submit your survey by the date shown in your invitation email. After the deadline, the survey link will close.

About Written Comments

Your written feedback helps us understand specific actions to continue and areas to improve.
Comments may be included verbatim (your exact words) in summary program evaluation reports. Comments are not attributed to any individual respondent, and identifying details are removed before they are included in reports. Comments are not shared with the leader.
Please write feedback in a way that does not reveal your identity.
Please:
  • focus on behaviors and actions rather than personal characteristics
  • avoid including names of coworkers
  • avoid describing highly specific incidents that could identify you
  • ​keep comments professional and work-related
Helpful comments describe what the leader does and the impact it has on your work (for example: communication, clarity of direction, support, follow-through, or responsiveness).

What if I’m concerned about being identified in a comment?

Please avoid including identifying details such as:
  • names of coworkers
  • highly specific incidents only you were part of
  • ​confidential business information

​The survey is administered by Pixel Leadership Group, an external consulting firm partnering with Vallourec to support leadership development. Using a third party helps ensure confidentiality and encourages honest feedback.
